Join Forces to Help Vets Become Small Business Owners
Who: Schneider National and the U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs will hold a signing ceremony to solidify a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for a new Schneider National/U.S. Veterans Owner-Operator Program.
Scott Denniston, Department of Veterans Affairs Center for Veterans Enterprises director, Washington, D.C., will be on site for the official signing, along with Schneider National executives.
The signing ceremony officially kicks off the new program, which is designed to help veterans become owner-operators. The ceremony will be followed by a tour of Schneider’s industry-leading Driver Training Academy and Driver Training Simulator Technology (911 Glory Road). Media attendees are invited to follow along for the tour.
What: Photo opportunity during the signing ceremony and also with Schneider’s 2007 and 2008 Ride of Pride trucks. (The trucks are a visual embodiment of Schneider’s support for military veterans, prisoners of war and missing-in-action soldiers.)
