In the midst of the devastation of Hurricane Katrina, FEMA tapped Schneider Bulk Division associates to execute a critical Fuel Mission to serve as mobile gas stations for emergency centers, hospitals, military operations and pumping stations in New Orleans. The Fuel Mission Team braved horrendous conditions to support the massive rescue and recovery efforts. The Fuel Mission team also helped support fuel delivery to victims of Hurricane Rita in southwestern Louisiana. The Fuel Mission Team has delivered over 1.5 million gallons of fuel to the recovery.

In the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, Sears, the main sponsor and contributor to the popular and touching Extreme Home Makeover TV program that runs on Monday nights, tapped Schneider National to deliver supplies for a special edition of the program.
Schneider drivers Danny Ozarth and Michael Rouse delivered Sears' donated supplies to the Makeover project, a Community Center in hard–hit Biloxi, Mississippi. First Lady Laura Bush also appears in the episode. At this time, the show is slated to air either November 27 or December
