How to Load 46,100 Pounds

  1. Always position the trailer tandem at the pin setting recommended for the most restrictive state through which the trailer will travel (example: California or Indiana).

2. Load 46,100 pounds only if the freight can be distributed evenly over the first 45' of the 53' trailer.

3. For mixed product, it is more efficient to load the heaviest product in the front of the trailer. Depending on the mix of heavy and light product, a 46,100 pound payload may legally fit over the 53 feet of the trailer. If the product is both very heavy and very bulky, you may not be able to load as much as 46,100 pounds.
